What to prepare before a website project
· Stephen O. Olawumi
A website moves faster when the brief is concrete. That is true of a 24-hour package and of a build that needs several weeks. Olastep Networks can start from a conversation, but the work is cleaner when a few things are already decided.
The offer, in one paragraph
Write what the business does, who it is for, and what a visitor should do next: call, send a WhatsApp message, book, or buy. If that paragraph is fuzzy, the homepage will be fuzzy too.
The name, the logo, and the colours
Send the logo as a file, not a screenshot of a screenshot. If you have brand colours, send those as well. If you do not, say so.
The pages you actually need
Most businesses need a home page, a clear description of the service, proof that the business is real, and a way to make contact. Extra pages can wait.
Domain and access
If you already own a domain, know where it was registered. If you do not own one yet, that can be sorted as part of the project.
